Thanks for solving that, Neal. I think I get it now. The middle bar ends--at least in the eyes of the viewer--before the far post begins. The far post has what appears to be, but isn't, a continuation of the middle bar. The perspective of the middle bar and of the continuation probably don't match exactly but are close enough to make the two seem to be one continuous, and physically impossible, bar. Cool.
