Eating that cake is the key to Immortal-ity. Ha ha ha!
Quit rippin' on 'em, man--they rock and they're guilty of nothing more than being goofy.
The goofiness is part of their charm. I'm not sure if they are serious or not. I certainly hope they are being serious.
The whole thing is part of a fantasy mythology they've made up--not unlike Magma, Gong, or George Clinton, so on that level, no, they're not serious. The question is, do they realize how goofy they are?
