Voivod - Ravenous Medicine

Voivod is one of my all time favorite bands and this is one of my favorite Voivod songs. I'd no idea there was a music video for it. You have to love the low budget production values on this one. It also features many drawings by the band's drummer, "Away," who has carved a unique, easily recognized style of illustration in the world of Metal.

Marauding Killer Monkeys!

It pleases me to know there are still places on earth, cities even, where being killed by a horde of monkeys is an everyday danger.

The greatest rendition of Amazing Grace ever sung.

Todd says he wants the song performed like this at his funeral. The singer in this video is most likely dead already. At least you'd think.

Mutants!

Mark Mothersbaugh, bandleader of the immortal Devo, has been creating digital images using old tyme photographs, transforming the figures in the photos into symmetrically-faced mutants. They are unsettling and hilarious.

Great album cover, not so great band, hilarious lyrics

This is the album cover Coven's first album, "Blessed is the Black." Troy Pugsley bought it for the cover alone, but we were amused by the songs. A sample of lyrics from the song, "McDonaldland Massacre:"

Ronald is lying on the floor,
The Grimace took a bullet trying to run out the door.
Hamburglar's brains all over Mayor McCheese,
He won't let you go, even if you say please.

Quarter Pounder, Big Mac, Fillet 'O Fish and fries,
it doesn't matter what you order, everybody dies.

Cool, huh? This is the only band I've ever heard who have done an explicitly Satanic power ballad.
